Each year THINK has commencement activities in a different countries which have included Japan, Greece, Italy, and Canada. Each year I have traveled to source the venue and vendors, formulated ideas for the set design and decor, and oversaw the creation of all materials and content. I also run the events and ensure that we stick to the timelines that I create, and have smooth communication with our vendors.
I worked with our set designer in Greece to design a stage that resembles an Ancient Greek temple. I also sourced local AV vendors to install a screen and audio equipment.
I oversaw the production of our photo boards and photo books, recapping the 4 years each student had with the program.
Each commencement had 300 guests. I created ticketing portals and informational websites for each event.
I have sourced keynote speakers that relate to and inspire our attendees. I ensure all line items in our speakers' riders are followed and that they feel comfortable and welcome at our events. My favorite speaker was Maggie Doyne, a philanthropist who, as a teen, built a home for orphaned children Nepal and has gone onto win CCN's Hero of the Year Award.
Working with the caterers, I have formulate menus that are within budget and suitable to our international guests' dietary restrictions.
I formulate ideas for the decor and made sure we stick to the budget.
I find local entertainment for our events so that guests get a taste of the local culture.
